Immeasurably More

Today’s service was incredible because of the amazing power of God. Since the arrival of the supplemental team last year, we have been hard at work and today that was evident. The DFWICC church not only doubled in size, but today we were able to have over two hundred people in attendance, as we celebrated our seventh year anniversary service.

Prior to this we were inspired to pray and strive to have as many guests join us, in order to fill up God’s house on this very momentous occasion; after much prayer and hard work, we were blessed to have more guests than we’ve ever had before (Matthew 22: 8-10). This was also the perfect occasion to introduce our new band– Grace Notes. Who rocked the stage and helped everyone to sing their hearts out to God.

It was so endearing to watch a compilation video encapsulating everything we’ve done over the past year. And I think it was really incredible seeing how much we’ve really grown. It is a miracle of God how much we’ve been able to accomplish in such a short time. God’s power is truly being used here in our ministry and the proof is evident.

Hearing Nate & Sam Pavon’s personal testimonies really hit home for all of us. They each talked about the battles they’ve had to overcome; like when Nate lived a worldly life, or the abusive relationships Sam dealt with growing up. But the ultimate conclusion was the importance of going to the cross in those times (Colossians 1: 13-14).

Despite everything we can do we must really learn to call on God’s strength. Fernando really brought it all home with his proclamation: God can do Immeasurably more. (Ephesians 3: 20-21). We have a lot of weapons in the word of God (the sword), but much like the early disciples, we must learn to submit to Jesus in order to truly tap into them. This is when the fruit in our lives will arrive (John 15:5).

After our amazing service we welcomed our newest brother Isaiah Scott Young in the faith. Now I can’t wait to see all that God will do in the DFWICC during its second year of growth.
