Humble Heart
Jesus challenged people to have a child-like heart in order to enter heaven, and I believe this was a principle Anthony took to heart.
He is humble, pure, and fully devoted to God. These are key traits we must learn to apply to our own character in order to be a truly successful follower of Christ.

Ricky: Tell me a little about yourself. Where did you grow up, stage in life, working, going to school, are you from DFW originally?
Anthony: I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I’m working and I just finished my education in Graphic Design in Chicago, Illinois.
Ricky: What are some of your favorite hobbies and something you would consider unique about yourself?
Anthony: Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, watching movies, and working out. Something unique about me is I collect comic books.
Ricky: Tell me how you were met/invited to Church?
Anthony: It was actually through Indeed. Someone was trying to offer me their mentorship, but after that didn’t work out she asked me if I was a Christian. I had just recently moved from Illinois and I was looking for a church here, so they connected me with a couple people, and I ended up meeting Darian.
Ricky: Describe your relationship with God prior to studying The Bible and how it has changed?
Anthony: I always knew I wanted to study the Bible, I always wanted to be a Christian. But even the word Christian is confusing these days especially in Texas. You don’t know who you’re really following. I was a little adamant about the studies, but after– my eyes were opened. It’s just great to see a lot of people that’s really committed to God’s word. It’s just inspiring to see that. I’m not the only one in this.
Ricky: What are some of your favorite scriptures and why?
Anthony: I like the one in Matthew that says “Do not worry.” Don’t worry about tomorrow because it won’t add a hour to your life. Tomorrow already bring enough problems, just give all your problems to God. You don’t have to go through this thing alone. That’s kind of my problem– I like to try and be the independent mighty man! But even men have to fight amongst other men.
Ricky: What advice would you give someone who has started studying the Bible or is considering it?
Anthony: Throw out everything you think you know about Christianity, everything you seen on T.V. Some are true, some are false. Just realize that the truth is not as popular to this world. And people don’t want to hear the truth nowadays.
Ricky: What do you love about the Kingdom?
Anthony: I love the chemistry everyone has. Just the fact that you end up talking to everybody, even if you miss a person– they’ll make an effort to talk to you. Just that family setting. I love family and I love my family; it’s great that my spiritual family is just as loving.
