Mountain Moving Faith
This year’s 2021 All Texas Winter Workshop was an experience beyond words. For me seeing disciples from Dallas, Houston, Salt Lake City, Denver, and San Francisco all in one location, was an incredible sight. Everyone who preached including; Jason Dimitry, Dustin Miller, Nate Pavon, Jason Woody, Fernando Chavez, Jacob Beas etc. they did so with tremendous fire.
Everything from how Jason Woody challenged us on becoming mountain movers for the Lord (Exodus 19: 1-4), to Dimitry’s lesson about how Jesus hates lack of faith (Matthew 17: 14-20), was terrific. God was with us as we vouched to make this a year of “Mountain Moving Faith”, which was the main theme of the workshop.
Who could forget the incredible Dance Performance led by Edie Dunn, Taylor Mogollon, and Prisca Shaka. The sisters were very graceful as they moved effortlessly through the air. Plus there was the beautiful Sheraton Hotel itself, which we were fortunate enough to get at an affordable price due to the crisis with Covid-19. We were able to stay there for the duration of the entire event.
The lesson preached by Fernando during Sunday Service was very moving as well, he made me realize how much we can do if we just had faith (Matthew 17: 20). We could literally move the mountains in our lives; such as, our character, fruitfulness, leadership, pledge, special missions, and even dating! It was also incredibly exciting to watch Tyler and Thalia Jongsma from the DFWICC, get appointed as Evangelist and Women’s Ministry leader!
All of this doesn’t even include all of the fun Kingdom Dates the disciples were able to go on. And the wonderful scenery outside the hotel was perfect for such an occasion, and it was perfect for some morning prayer walks too. Of course, we couldn’t fully experience this event without first knowing how some of the disciples felt. I interviewed a few of them prior to Winter Workshop in order to get their perspective on it, and to help paint a larger picture.
Interview: Bob Luzolanu (DFWICC)
Ricky: What are you looking forward to at this year’s winter workshop?
Bob: What I’m looking forward to at this year’s winter workshop, is the fellowship. The amazing fellowship we’re about to have, and all the amazing lessons from different evangelists from different churches.
Ricky: What are some of your personal goals that you want to accomplish in 2021?
Bob: Some of my personal goals that I want to accomplish this year is, number one would totally be go in the teen ministry. Right now there’s just two disciples in the teen ministry. We want to double it up, and turn it to six by summer time. I want to be more fruitful than ever in the campus ministry as well.
The third thing is this year I want to go on a mission team. I do believe in pressure, time, and for God to teach me a lot of things. I do believe 2021 is the year for me to go, to get out regardless. If God is willing. I’m willing to go anywhere anytime.
Ricky: What do you think we can accomplish as a church?
Bob: What we can accomplish as a church is planting more churches, in the DFW metroplex. I do believe we’ll be executing all of those, so we can have ministry everywhere. Let’s just say I’m somewhere else doing a job in Denton, I don’t have to drive all the way to Arlington to make it to a meeting of the body.
If we have a ministry in Denton I can just stop there, have a meeting there, a meeting of the body. And just to be able to reach every single major campus in the DFW metroplex that would be amazing.
Ricky: What is your personal dream for your city and Texas as a whole?
Bob: One of my personal goals for the city of Texas is to be able to host the GLC. We have everything here, and the church is literally growing day after day. We will get to the point where we are able to actually host the whole movement in Texas. This is one of my personal goals, I’d be so happy to see the GLC in Texas.

Ricky: What do you think we can accomplish as a church?
Alan: Over two hundred disciples!
Ricky: What is your personal dream for your city and Texas as a whole?
